創作理念
“繪畫是視覺的藝術，只有在媒材、創作技巧上不斷創新，作品才有獨特的生命力“受中華傳統文化薰陶，我一直探求在抽象的油畫作品中表現中華文化的精髓。然而，四十多年前的油畫材質和創作手法都無法實現。
”我決定“隱身”畫壇，潛心研究油畫新的材質和技法。但屢遭失敗，最低落時甚至曾想結束生命。在二十多年後，有一天，緊盯著自己用試驗媒材作的畫，突然靈感涌動，猶如鳳凰浴火重生。
“我是一個唯美主義者”,畫畫和拍電影一樣，首先要有一個好劇本，然後要好的演員、道具、音樂等。畫畫首先要有好的造型，這些經特殊處理、精心製作的網狀薄膜媒材，只是畫作的一個組成部分，通過油墨的點、線、面、色激蕩組合，最後其中約十之七能面世，稱為作品。

‘Nurtured by traditional Chinese culture, I have fervently explored the essence of Chinese cultural expression through abstract oil paintings. However, the materials and creative techniques of forty years ago could not achieve this.’
‘I decided to paint remotely, applying painstaking research of new materials and techniques of painting. However, I failed, and even wanted to end my life at its lowest point. Twenty years later, one day, staring at my own mediums for test paintings, I felt a sudden surge of inspiration, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.’
‘I am an aesthete of media; to me, painting and filmography are comparable. In filmography, first of all, have a good script, good actors, props, music etc.. In painting, first have a sense of style -but the special processes and elaboration is only a component of the piece in its entirety. After the ink dots, lines, surface, and color combination, finally, seven out of ten paintings can then be called works.’
‘Because I am a perfectionist, some say my biggest ‘drawback’ is my constant modification of works, and often even my destruction of them! For decades I have destroyed countless paintings, for the sake of contributing my utmost efforts to the modern Chinese aesthetic.’
